Samy Amroun holds a bachelor’s degree in biochemistry, is a lawyer specializing in intellectual property and business law, and a patent technical advisor. Mr. Amroun joined the intellectual property team at Brouillette in 2023.

Samy specializes in biochemistry, and his practice includes the preparation and filing of national, American, and foreign patents and industrial designs. He evaluates the patentability of new technologies and manages existing patent portfolios. Samy also has experience in preparing opinions on patent infringement and validity in Canada and the United States.

With dedication, he collaborates with businesses to help bring their ideas to the market while providing them with the protection offered by intellectual property rights.

Samy also practices in trademark law and business law.

Charlène Rambeaud joined the Brouillette team in 2021 and practices at Brouillette in the field of trademark law and business, commercial, and corporate law.

She notably assists young entrepreneurs in the establishment and organization of their businesses. She also supports companies in their acquisition, merger, or reorganization processes, as well as in the establishment of partnerships.

Me Rambeaud is involved in negotiating, drafting, and analyzing operating, marketing, licensing, usage, and distribution contracts related to intellectual property, particularly trademarks and patents.

Me Rambeaud also assists clients in the direct sales sector. She can advise these companies in product marketing, obtaining or renewing necessary permits, and offers a variety of services to implement their business plans in Canada.

Me Rambeaud is known for her pragmatic, organized, rigorous, and strategic approach.

Robert Brouillette understands the needs of entrepreneurs, being entrepreneurial himself.

A majority of his clients are business builders and operate technological enterprises.

He has become a leading Canadian expert in the fields of intellectual property and startups and their financing.

By training, he is LL.B, a civil engineer and a patent and trademark agent. He holds an engineering degree from University of Sherbrooke (1972) and a law degree from University of Laval (1975). He is a member of the Quebec Order of Engineers. He is an accredited trademark and patent agent in Canada and the US.

He began his career with Ogilvy Renault in 1977. He co-founded BCF in 1992. Mr. Brouillette more recently founded Brouillette inc. a Law, Patent and Trademark agency firm focussing on Entrepreneurs and Innovators.

He is a past Chair of the board of Anges Québec (an angel investor group) and a current director of Anges Quebec Capital. Also, he has invested as an angel investor/mentor in over 50 start-ups.

His career makes him a man passionate about entrepreneurship and very accessible.

Mr. Brouillette is a former president of the executive of the national Intellectual Property Law section of the Canadian Bar Association. He is a member of different associations operating in the field of intellectual property and direct selling including the Intellectual Property Institute of Canada, the Licensing Executive Society, the American Intellectual Property Law Association, INTA, DSA (Canada and USA) and Réseau Action TI.

He is currently a member of the board of directors of Anges Quebec Capital and of a number of companies including: Intelia, Mondias Naturals, Newtrax and E2Metrix. He is a former member of the board of directors of a number of companies including iWeb, Simsmart, Hydro-Quebec and of HQ Capitech and of HQ Industech.

In addition to being involved with Anges Québec, Robert Brouillette is also very active in the community of young entrepreneurs, to whom he regularly offers mentorship.

Philippe Brouillette is an engineer, lawyer, trademark agent and entrepreneur. Over the years, Philippe was involved in custom IT application development startups and online services projects related to self-employed and crowdfunding accounting.

He also helps SMEs and startups in building their intellectual property strategy, obtaining patents, industrial designs and/or trademarks and advise them in the field of business law, technology law and computing.
