Brouillette + Partners changes its name and expands!

The business law firm Brouillette + Partners changes its name and welcomes five new professionnals.

New year, new name!

As of the beginning of this year, the team of Brouillette + Partners is pleased to inform you of the major changes made to its structure. Indeed, the firm founded by Robert Brouillette in 2005 has chosen to simplify its legal structure and transform itself into a joint stock company. Brouillette + Partners is now Brouillette Legal Inc.

“This change of name marks a turning point for our firm and was inevitable due to the change in our legal structure. In this context, we had to remove the word “partners” from our corporate name”, says Robert Brouillette, founder of Brouillette Legal Inc. “We opted for Brouillette Legal because of its clear meaning and its bilingual character” adds Mr. Brouillette.

In 2017, Brouillette Legal wants to focus its efforts on optimizing the experience of its customers (customer service, enhanced packages, improvement of the case management tool…) while remaining very competitive and innovative in its working methods.

“The changes made fully demonstrate our strong desire to simplify the company’s practices”, says Stéphanie Brouillette, Trademark Agent and Director of Marketing and Communications at Brouillette Legal. “The field of law is already complicated in itself. That is why we are trying to simplify our service offer and make it more accessible for our clients” adds Stéphanie.

The new name also implies the adjustment of the logo, stationery and web tools. The logo is now much simpler and suitable for both languages. Brouillette Legal also plans on revamping its website in order to materialize its desire to simplify its communications and improve the customer experience.

New year, new team!

Within the firm that operates in Montreal and Sherbrooke, the team was strengthened by five new professionals composed of lawyers and patent advisors.

Irina Kostko, a lawyer, junior engineer and patent advisor, Jeanne-Louise Shih and Zouhour Hamza, both patent advisors, joined the team of Brouillette Legal.

The litigation department has welcomed Catherine Gosselin, a young lawyer whose practice focuses on civil and commercial litigation with a penchant for intellectual property.

Finally, Camille Miconnet, who practiced as a legal advisor in an IP firm in France decided to pursue her career in Montreal. At the beggining of 2017, she joined Brouillette Legal as a new lawyer.

The initiated changes (name, logo, hiring) demonstrate Brouillette Legal’s determination to improve the customer experience in 2017 and to maintain high quality services.
